PHILIPSBURG ARTS FUND

The PHILIPSBURG ARTS FUND is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the arts & literature as well as honoring Philipsburg's rich history.

Established in 1997, we support individual community projects and also initiate our own events that showcase Philipsburg's unique historic district, our many local artists and talented musicians.

His solo show, Larry Gatlin: An Intimate Evening of Songs & Stories, features a captivating performance by the country music legend, blended with unique personal stories and video highlights from throughout his remarkable career. It makes for an unforgettable evening!

Grammy-winning Larry Gatlin has performed for various U.S. presidents and been featured at Carnegie Hall, performing arts centers, opera houses and with symphony orchestras. He's not only lead singer of the legendary Gatlin Brothers, but wrote all of the trio's hits. Celebrated as a gifted actor and producer, Gatlin starred in the Broadway productions, The Will Rogers Follies and Civil War. He is also a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member.

"THE BEST LAST PLACE"

A fascinating 2022 sequel to the international award-winning "Saving the Burg" (2019), which documented the 30-year comeback of Philipsburg.

"SAVING THE BURG"

Of the many projects the Philipsburg Arts Fund created for the Sesquicentennial of Philipsburg, none was as significant as the one hour documentary film created by Philipsburg filmmaker, Jim Jenner. Called "Saving the Burg" it chronicled our town's resurgence and aired more than a dozen times, statewide, on Montana PBS. This wonderful film will continue to be shown in the years ahead.
